Thoughts on Electronic Cigarettes

Recently, electronic cigarettes have been getting a lot of heat in newspapers, online, and general word of mouth. There are die hard fans of it but also die hard opponents. There will be haters but we will push through. We think this is a revolutionary product and that it will be beneficial to society in the long run.

Here are my thoughts. Cigarettes have already killed many many people. Critics say introducing this new product can kill even more! What I don't get is cigarettes have a proven track record of causing death. We know there are 4000 chemicals in them...63 of them being carcinogens. For electronic cigarettes, there are 10, all approved by FDA, none of them cancer causing. I just dont get it...it is probably politics, procedure, and the process of everything that is delaying the approval for e-cigs. We would gladly put our product up for testing by the FDA but we also do not have millions of dollars. =)

Until then, we choose to smoke an alternative cigarette with no tar and no carcinogens. We want society to use a green product so that "green ideology" can spread. People have questioned how Greentip is as an "eco-friendly" product and at first glance it seems like a good marketing scheme...but its not. Using something simple as a Greentip can cause others to follow suit in a "Green" lifestyle. There is one less person throwing away toxic cigarette butts, One less person breathing in toxic chemicals, one less person not utilizing precious land and earth for the cultivation of tobacco. Like a person driving a Hybrid vehicle, someone is taking a stand and setting an example.

Crazy thing I found:

“We have every reason to believe the hazard posed by electronic cigarettes would be much lower than 1% of that posed by (tobacco) cigarettes,” says Dr. Nitzkin in this online interview. “The testing guidelines in the current tobacco act (circulating through Congress) would represent a ban on electronic cigarettes, (yet) if we get all tobacco smokers to switch from regular cigarettes (to electronic cigarettes), we would reduce the US death toll from 400,000 a year to less than 4,000, maybe as low as 400.”

What is Greentip?

First of all I would like to welcome you to our blog. My name is Rudy , and I am 1/3 of the amazing group that is Greentip.

What is Greentip you ask ? Well , to understand Greentip , you have to understand the force that is behind Greentip. Both me , and my partners are ex-smokers that meet 2 years ago at a college party.knowing each other for a while , it was clear to us that we had one thing in common.We were all smokers , that wanted to quit !

Personally , I know that I have been smoking since I was 15 years old. I cannot begin to tell you the damages that cigarettes have done to my health ( I have breathing problems).In our journey to quit cigarettes , we stumble up something called an electronic cigarette.A what? yes that's right an electronic cigarette.


Let me explain what it is. Well the generic def for this product is : it is a battery powered device that provides users with a simulated smoking experience. The device delivers nicotine by vaporizing a nicotine solution called e-Liquid. It is composed of 1 battery and 1 disposable cartridge. It looks and feels like a real cigarette.

But in my own words let me say this : It is a kick ass alternative to cigarettes , It looks and feels like a cigarette. Instead of delivering smoke , it delivers a flavored vapor that contains NO Carbon Monoxide , NO tar , and NO tobacco , ONLY nicotine.After my first try , I think that my lungs thanked me for the first time in my life. lol It is still amazing too me , how many ppl do not know about electronic cigarettes.My goal in this adventure is to inform ppl about electronic cigarettes , and make a difference in this world.
